ThalAssist is a student-led project under active development. These terms describe how the website and donor registration may be used today. They have not yet been reviewed by a qualified legal professional — that review is planned before the platform is used at scale.
By using this website or registering as a blood donor, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.
ThalAssist is a care-coordination and communication tool. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or determine blood donor eligibility. It does not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Always follow the guidance of your treating doctor or hospital.
For donors: information you provide is used to help hospitals coordinate blood donation. Final confirmation of blood-group compatibility, eligibility and infection screening is always carried out by an authorized blood bank or hospital — not by ThalAssist.
The donor registration form is intended for people who meet standard blood donation eligibility criteria (see the Donors page for general guidance). If you're unsure whether you're eligible, that's confirmed at the point of donation by the hospital or blood bank, not by this website.
When registering as a donor or contacting us, please provide accurate information — hospitals rely on it to reach the right person. You're responsible for keeping your contact details up to date; you can update or withdraw them at any time by contacting us.
app.thalassist.in is a separate, access-controlled system for hospitals enrolled on the platform. It's intended only for authorized hospital staff, and its use is governed by the terms agreed with each enrolled hospital, not by this public website.
This is a student-led project, provided as-is. We do our best to keep the site accurate and available, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access, that the site will always be error-free, or that a registered donor will be reachable or available when contacted. ThalAssist is a coordination aid, not a guarantee of outcome.
As the platform develops — including once it undergoes formal legal and security review — these terms will be updated. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
